As we know, everyone has the right to communication freely with other people, and the right to refuse communication with people they don’t like to. But these rights were not guaranteed in SMS. Users do not receive rubbish short messages on a voluntary basis. In the long run, there is no doubt that everybody would be much better off if smoking were banned altogether.

Smoking can provide constant consolation. When I feel worried or nervous, I just get a cigarette and everything seems to get right. After a day’s hard work, the thing I want to do most is smoking. It can be even better than a cup of coffee. It is so enjoyable and relaxing that it relieves stresses of every day life. So why bother to ban it and take the pleasure from us.

Suppose you heard the news that your friend Mike had just been promoted to be the man- ager of his department in the company. Write a letter of congratulations to Mike. Your letter should include:

2) What’s your feeling?

This week in our school, there was a heated discussion on whether to adopt a school dress code. Every student would be required to wear a uniform. The teachers are divided: Some are in favor of the uniforms while others are opposed. The principal has asked the students to express their opinions by voting on the issue before decisions are made. But she will have the final word on the dress code.
I think a dress code is a good idea. The less I have to decide first thing in the morning, the better. I can’t tell you how many mornings I look into my closet and just stare, unable to decide what to wear. However, my twin brother Andy is shocked at my opinion. Last night, he even dragged out my parents’ high school photo albums to show me how brilliant they looked without uniforms! He also declared, “Bruce Springsteen never wore a school uniform. Bob Dylan wouldn’t have been caught dead in a school uniform! If I have to wear a uniform, I won’t feel like me!”
The vote for or against uniforms took place later that day. The results of the vote and the principal’s decision will be announced next week. I wonder what it will be. I know how I voted, and I’m pretty sure I know how Andy voted. How would you vote--for or against?
